David Zilkha

David is a qualified nurse with a long background in local services including hospices, HIV/AIDS, mental health, housing & homelessness, and substance use. In national policy roles he has worked on Anti-Racism, volunteering in the arts sector, and with unpaid carers.

He has specialised in creating new services or in leading others through significant change. He is passionate about using co-production principles to work with the people who will be affected by decisions to build a shared approach, whether that’s staff or volunteers, service users or citizens.

His previous voluntary roles include co-running numerous inclusive arts festivals; Trustee / Expert Advisor roles with the hospice sector in both local services & international projects; and, short placements overseas to share learning (mainly in Latin America).

When he’s not involved in health or community projects, he likes to dance.
